Olivia Crough

Olivia Crough is a sixth-year PhD Candidate in Visual and Environmental Studies. She writes about twentieth-century art in relation to politics and gender, in particular print media, film/video/tv, exhibition design, and photography in the US, Germany, and former Soviet Union. Her dissertation examines the work of artist Varvara Stepanova from the Russian Revolution to the early Cold War. At Harvard, Olivia has been a teaching fellow in Visual and Environmental Studies, a graduate curatorial intern at the Busch-Reisinger Museum/Harvard Art Museums, and a research fellow at the CCVA.
