Virginia Overton was born in Tennessee; she currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Solo exhibitions include MOCA, North Miami, FL; Storm King Art Center, New Windsor, NY; Westfälischer Kunstverein, Münster, Germany; Kunsthalle Bern, Switzerland; Mitchell-Innes and Nash, New York; The Kitchen, New York; The Power Station, Dallas, TX; Freymond-Guth, Zürich, Switzerland; and Dispatch, New York. She has been included in exhibitions at MoMA PS1; SculptureCenter; and White Columns in New York; White Flag Projects and the Contemporary Museum of Art in St. Louis, Missouri; and Disjecta in Portland, Oregon. She has an upcoming solo exhibition at White Cube, London in January 2015. Her work is included in the collections at MoMA, New York; MOCA, Tucson; and Kunstmuseum Bern, Switzerland.
